كالكوتا: تسبب إعصار أمبان، أعنف الأعاصير في خليج البنغال في القرن الـ21، بمقتل ما لا يقل عن 84 شخصا في الهند وبنغلاديش وفق حصيلة رسمية أعلنت الخميس.
وفي منطقة البنغال الغربية بالهند “قتل 72 شخصا بينهم 15 في كالكوتا”، كما أعلنت رئيسة حكومة هذه الولاية ماماتا بانرجي للصحافة، مضيفةً “لم أشهد يوما كارثة بهذا الحجم”. وفي بنغلادش أعلنت الشرطة ومسؤولون لفرانس برس عن مقتل 12 شخصا.
